"Caution: Use Cook Travel at Your Own Risk"
I've been using Cook Travel for years, back when they were under American Express, and I can honestly say things have taken a turn for the worse. Seriously, think twice before choosing Cook Travel. They haven't had a decent review in over six months.

The service is shockingly bad. In December 2019, I bought two business class tickets to Athens for October 2020. When COVID hit and the airlines changed their schedules, Cook, particularly Inti AcostayLara, was completely unresponsive. The only person who actually helped me was Francis Tan, who directed me to the owner, Blake Fleetwood. When the airlines finally canceled my flights, my requests for a refund went unanswered. I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company, JP Morgan Chase. It was only then that I got an email offering a voucher. But here's the kicker: the voucher wasn’t for a specific amount and wouldn’t cover various taxes and fees. Plus, it wouldn’t be valid if I had already filed a dispute. Since I had, that voucher was useless. Cook didn’t even bother to respond to Chase about my dispute. Thankfully, Chase refunded my full purchase price. They really know how to take care of their customers.

"Disappointing service and lack of follow-up."
I booked two business class tickets to Greece through Cook Travel. This was back in January 2019 for a trip planned in April 2020. Unfortunately, the airlines canceled those flights in April 2020 because of COVID-19. The airlines said that all refunds had to go through the travel agent. My Cook agent confirmed that my tickets and flights were indeed canceled and assured me a refund was on the way. Now, here we are in September, and still no refund. Neither Cook Travel nor my agent is picking up the phone or responding to texts. I did get one generic text from my agent mentioning a possible voucher, but there were no clear instructions on how to proceed. The agents just don’t respond to any follow-up messages or calls. Honestly, I can't recommend Cook Travel to anyone looking to travel in the future.

"Cook Travel unhelpful with canceling or refunding Europe business tickets"
I snagged some reasonably priced business tickets from LAX to Bari, Italy, on Air France and Alitalia through Cook Travel for a wedding in Italy this September. Unfortunately, the wedding got called off. I've tried reaching out to Cook Travel several times, but no luck. Can't get a person on the line. The airlines aren't lending a hand either.

"Top-notch airline ticket service."
Francis Tan was fantastic. I gave him several places to visit in South America. He handled everything with a fair service charge. I arranged a second journey with him to London, and once more, he provided an excellent choice that saved me a ton of cash.

"Cook Travel - decent, but not flawless"
One representative at Cook Travel first gave us an awesome deal to Australia, but the airline rejected the code the next day, despite the agent assuring us the price was secure. Then, another agent located a solid price - better than what the airline was offering, but not as good as the initial deal - and we felt we had no choice but to accept it. I'd still consider using Cook Travel, but now I know I need to make a quick decision.

"Service Quality Has Declined"
I've noticed a drop in their service lately. In the past, I had great experiences with them, but this year has been a different story. I needed to change a reservation due to a medical emergency last summer, and it took them ages to respond—way too late for my situation. Just two days ago, I tried to book a new reservation, but that didn't go through either. The next day, someone reached out to check if I had heard back from anyone—spoiler alert: I hadn't. Now, another day has gone by, and I'm still waiting to hear from them.
